The San Francisco 49ers topped the Arizona Cardinals 25-10 in a Week 3 showdown that showcased their offensive firepower while keeping their division rivals at bay. With this victory, the 49ers improved their standing in the competitive NFC West, asserting themselves early in the season. Drake Maye was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for 256 yards and two touchdowns, leading the charge against the Cardinals' defense. Terrell Owens shined in the receiving game, racking up 95 yards and proving to be a reliable target for Maye. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey contributed on the ground with 54 rushing yards, helping to maintain balance and control of the game. Defensively, the 49ers were solid, with Merton Hanks leading the team with six tackles and Brandon Cisse providing a crucial sack to disrupt Arizona's rhythm. Divine Deablo of the Cardinals made a notable impact with two interceptions, but the 49ers' defense effectively contained the Cardinals' offense, particularly during a key stretch in the second half when they forced a turnover that swung momentum firmly in San Francisco's favor.
