In a decisive showdown, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-17, securing their second victory of the season in Week 3. With playoff aspirations on the line, this matchup was critical for both teams as they look to establish momentum early in the 2026 campaign. On offense, Josh Allen showcased his talents for the Jaguars, throwing for 336 yards and two touchdowns, while Jimmy Smith was a standout receiver, racking up an impressive 235 yards. However, it was Travis Etienne Jr. who kept the Patriots' ground game rolling, contributing 84 rushing yards to complement their aerial attack. Defensively, the Patriots made key stops that influenced the game’s outcome. Tony Jefferson led the charge with seven total tackles, while Mike Haynes sealed the victory with a pivotal interception. The Jaguars' Nick Herbig added pressure with 1.5 sacks, but it was the Patriots' ability to capitalize on turnovers and maintain defensive discipline that ultimately made the difference in this matchup.
