Leading the offensive charge was Jayden Daniels, who threw for 296 passing yards, showcasing his ability to move the ball effectively downfield. Meanwhile, Jacoby Brissett of the Cardinals had a solid outing as well, tossing two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Commanders' scoring. The Cardinals' Jeremiyah Love was the standout on the ground with 89 rushing yards, while Michael Wilson lit up the field with 140 receiving yards, highlighting Arizona's offensive capabilities. Defensively, the game saw some impactful plays, but the Commanders' ability to contain the Cardinals' explosive plays proved decisive. Arizona's Garrett Williams led the team with nine tackles, but it was Budda Baker's interception that gave the Cardinals a glimmer of hope. However, the turning point came when Washington's offense capitalized on their opportunities, allowing them to maintain control and ultimately seal the win.
