The Indianapolis Colts secured a 16-8 victory over the Houston Texans in a tightly contested Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for early-season momentum, the Colts' defense proved pivotal in holding off the Texans' late-game attempts to rally. Anthony Richardson Sr led the Colts’ offense, throwing for 171 yards, while Taylen Green found the end zone for Houston with a passing touchdown. Despite a strong performance from Nico Collins, who racked up 70 receiving yards for the Texans, it was Jonathan Taylor's steady ground game that helped maintain control for Indianapolis. Defensively, the Colts were bolstered by A.J. Haulcy, who snagged two interceptions that shifted the momentum in favor of Indianapolis. Will Anderson Jr of the Texans was a standout on defense, dominating with 2.5 sacks and four total tackles. However, it was Haulcy's timely picks that ultimately sealed the victory, marking a critical turning point in the second half.
