In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 35-30, showcasing their offensive prowess in a game that had playoff implications early in the season. Both teams entered the contest looking to establish momentum, but it was the Bears who ultimately emerged victorious with a late-game surge. Bo Nix led the charge for Chicago, throwing for 279 yards and four touchdowns, proving to be a decisive factor in the Bears' success. Jordan Mason added a strong ground game with 93 rushing yards, keeping the Vikings' defense on their toes. Meanwhile, Dawson Knox of the Vikings was a standout in the passing game, racking up 112 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Bears made their mark with Myles Murphy's 2.5 sacks, which disrupted Minnesota's offensive rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Colton Hood intercepted a crucial pass, giving the Bears the momentum they needed to pull away. Ultimately, it was a combination of timely defensive plays and explosive offensive performances that sealed the victory for Chicago.
