In a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season, the San Francisco 49ers topped the Cincinnati Bengals with a final score of 35-14. The win not only boosts the 49ers' confidence early in the season but also establishes them as a team to watch in the NFC. Brock Purdy was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for 204 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense effectively. Trey Benson contributed on the ground with 56 rushing yards, while the Bengals' Steve Smith Sr. had a stellar day receiving, racking up 112 yards despite the loss. Defensively, the 49ers were impactful, with Deommodore Lenoir snagging an interception that shifted the momentum in the first half. While the Bengals' Dexter Lawrence II recorded 3 total tackles and 1.5 sacks, it wasn't enough to counter the 49ers' offensive firepower. The turning point came when Lenoir's interception set up a quick touchdown, giving San Francisco a commanding lead that they never relinquished.
