In a thrilling Week 5 showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the New England Patriots, securing a 25-24 victory. With both teams vying for positioning in the competitive AFC, every play mattered in this tightly contested battle. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars' offense with a solid performance, throwing for 262 yards, while Jakobi Meyers made key receptions, racking up 96 receiving yards. Although Drake Maye of the Patriots tossed two touchdown passes, it was TreVeyon Henderson's explosive rushing game, with 158 yards on the ground, that kept New England in striking distance throughout the contest. Defensively, the Jaguars made crucial plays to stifle the Patriots' offense, with Antonio Johnson recording five total tackles and Jarrian Jones snagging an interception. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter, when Boubacar Traore's 1.5 sacks put pressure on Maye, forcing a turnover that ultimately sealed the victory for Jacksonville.
