In a high-octane showdown, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 49-35 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to establish dominance early in the season, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious in this offensive slugfest. Drake Maye led the way for New England, throwing for an impressive 470 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking abilities. Tory Horton was his favorite target, racking up 193 receiving yards, while the Jaguars' Bhayshul Tuten put up a strong performance on the ground with 122 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Patriots' aerial assault. The Patriots' defense stepped up at crucial moments, with Milton Williams accounting for two sacks and Brenden Schooler snagging an interception to halt a Jaguars drive. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Maye connected with Horton for a touchdown that extended the lead, allowing New England to maintain control and ultimately secure the win.
