In a dominating performance, the Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 21-0 in Week 2 of the 2026 season, solidifying their early-season momentum. This matchup showcased the Chargers' defensive prowess and offensive efficiency, as they sought to establish themselves as contenders in the league. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert led the charge with 96 passing yards and a touchdown, but it was rookie running back Omarion Hampton who truly stole the spotlight, racking up an impressive 131 rushing yards. Tight end David Njoku contributed with 48 receiving yards, providing Herbert with a reliable target throughout the game. The Chargers' balanced attack kept the Raiders' defense guessing and ultimately overwhelmed them. Defensively, the Chargers were relentless, with Donte Jackson snagging an interception that shifted momentum firmly in their favor. The Raiders struggled to find their rhythm, highlighted by their inability to score, and it was Jackson's pick that marked a crucial turning point in the game. With Darien Porter leading the Raiders' tackles with just three, it was clear that Los Angeles' defense stifled any offensive effort from Las Vegas, sealing the game with a shutout victory.
