In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the New York Jets dominated the Cleveland Browns, securing a convincing 48-7 victory at home. The Jets showcased their offensive prowess and solidified their place as a contender in the 2026 season, while the Browns struggled to find their rhythm on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Joe Milton led the charge for the Jets, throwing for 248 yards and three touchdowns, effectively distributing the ball to his receivers. Omar Cooper Jr. emerged as Milton's top target, racking up 100 receiving yards, while Breece Hall contributed significantly on the ground with 85 rushing yards. This offensive firepower kept the Browns' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Jets were relentless, with David Bailey standing out by recording seven total tackles and two sacks, wreaking havoc in the backfield. D'Angelo Ponds added to the Jets' dominance with two interceptions, which shifted the momentum firmly in New York's favor. The turning point came early in the second half when Ponds' second pick set up a quick touchdown, effectively putting the game out of reach for the struggling Browns.
