The San Francisco 49ers held off the Miami Dolphins with a final score of 21-14 in a tightly contested Week 2 matchup of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the game looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the 49ers who came out on top, improving their record to 2-0. Leading the charge for San Francisco was quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw for 202 yards, setting the tone for the offense. Saquon Barkley added a strong ground game with 99 rushing yards, while Marvin Harrison Jr. was the top target, racking up 84 receiving yards. Despite Josh Allen's two touchdown passes for Miami, the Dolphins couldn't keep pace with the 49ers' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the 49ers made key plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Jourdan Lewis recorded a critical interception, stifling a Dolphins drive and preserving the lead. Taylor Rapp's sack also highlighted the defensive effort, showcasing the pressure the 49ers applied throughout. Ultimately, the combination of timely defensive stops and explosive offensive plays marked a significant win for San Francisco.
