The Detroit Lions emerged victorious over the Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 31-21 in a Week 5 showdown of the 2026 season. The win keeps the Lions firmly in contention as they look to build momentum heading into the mid-season stretch. Jared Goff was the standout performer for Detroit, throwing for 332 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his aerial prowess throughout the game. Sam LaPorta made his presence felt as the leading receiver, racking up 124 yards, while Jahmyr Gibbs contributed significantly on the ground with 84 rushing yards. On the defensive side, Tyleik Williams disrupted the Cardinals' offense with 1.5 sacks, applying constant pressure on the quarterback. Although Budda Baker shone for Arizona, recording 11 total tackles and two interceptions, it was not enough to swing the momentum.
