In a thrilling matchup, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-28 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With both teams seeking to establish momentum early in the season, the stakes were high as each squad aimed for a crucial victory. Drake Maye shone brightly for the Patriots, throwing for 292 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Meanwhile, Jayvon Sanchez was a standout target, racking up 139 receiving yards and making key catches that kept drives alive. On the ground, Run Da Yard of the Jaguars was impressive as well, amassing 192 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome New England's aerial assault. The Patriots' defense played a pivotal role in securing the win, led by Joey Bosa with two sacks and Kevin Byard III, who intercepted three passes. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Byard's third interception halted a potential game-tying drive for Jacksonville, allowing New England to maintain their lead and seal the victory. Milton Williams contributed with six total tackles, helping to keep the Jaguars' offense in check during critical moments of the game.
