In a commanding display to kick off the 2026 season, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants with a decisive 42-8 victory. With both teams vying for early momentum, the Cowboys established dominance early on, setting the tone for a long day for the Giants. Dak Prescott was the star of the show, throwing for an impressive 381 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his playmaking ability and precision. Javonte Williams contributed significantly on the ground with 68 rushing yards, while KaVontae Turpin led the receiving corps with 91 yards, making crucial catches to keep the chains moving. Defensively, the Cowboys put on a clinic, highlighted by Caleb Downs’ remarkable three interceptions, which effectively stifled any chance of a Giants comeback. Shavon Revel Jr. added to the pressure with a sack, while Jevon Holland's four tackles were not enough to halt the relentless Cowboys' attack. The turning point came in the first half when Dallas scored two quick touchdowns, leaving New York scrambling to keep pace.
