In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Miami Dolphins outlasted the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 33-25, marking a significant victory for Miami in the young 2026 season. Both teams were eager to make a statement, but it was the Dolphins who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess and tenacity on defense. Leading the charge for Miami was quarterback Jordan Love, who threw for an impressive 327 yards, proving instrumental in the Dolphins' offensive strategy. Although the Chiefs' Matthew Stafford connected for three touchdown passes, it wasn't enough to overcome the Dolphins' balanced attack. Miami's Alvin Kamara added crucial yards on the ground, while the Chiefs' DK Metcalf stood out in the receiving game, racking up 140 yards. Defensively, Miami made key plays that shifted momentum during the game, highlighted by Julian Love's crucial interception. Although Jaylon Johnson led the Dolphins with four tackles, it was their ability to pressure the Chiefs and limit big plays that defined the contest. The turning point came late in the second half when Love's interception set up a pivotal touchdown drive, sealing the game for Miami and handing the Chiefs a tough loss.
