In a commanding performance, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Carolina Panthers 38-13 in Week 7 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for crucial conference positioning, this victory was essential for the Buccaneers as they look to maintain momentum heading into the latter half of the season. Quarterback Jordan Love was the standout performer, throwing for 372 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. He connected with Troy Franklin for 131 receiving yards, while Jacory Croskey-Merritt added a solid ground game with 66 rushing yards, contributing to a well-rounded offensive effort that kept the Panthers on their heels. Defensively, the Buccaneers made their presence felt, with Aaron Donald recording 1.5 sacks and Anthony Hill Jr. grabbing an interception, which proved pivotal in shifting the game's momentum. The Buccaneers' defense held the Panthers to just 13 points, and the turning point came early in the second half when Love's touchdown strike extended their lead, forcing Carolina to abandon their game plan and play catch-up.
