In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Minnesota Vikings 34-7 in Week 15 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Lions showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, making a strong statement with this decisive victory. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 286 yards and four touchdowns, while Jameson Williams shone as his favorite target, racking up 124 receiving yards. Jahmyr Gibbs contributed effectively on the ground, adding 63 rushing yards to the Lions' offensive onslaught. Together, these players orchestrated a relentless attack that kept the Vikings' defense on its heels throughout the game. Detroit's defense also played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Aidan Hutchinson recording 1.5 sacks and D.J. Reed snagging an interception. The turning point came early in the second half when Reed's interception halted a potential comeback from the Vikings, allowing the Lions to extend their lead and seize control of the game. The combination of offensive firepower and defensive stoutness proved too much for Minnesota to handle.
