In a thrilling Week 1 showdown, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the New York Giants with a final score of 43-36, kicking off the 2026 season in dramatic fashion. Both teams showcased their offensive firepower, making this matchup a must-watch from the start. Dak Prescott led the charge for the Cowboys, throwing for 320 yards and keeping the Giants' defense on their toes. Meanwhile, Jaxson Dart of the Giants put on an impressive performance with four touchdown passes, but it was the ground game of Cam Skattebo that stood out, racking up 144 rushing yards. Malachi Fields added to the Giants’ offensive prowess with 94 receiving yards, but it ultimately wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Cowboys made their mark with key plays, including two interceptions by Shavon Revel Jr., which shifted momentum at critical points in the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Revel Jr. picked off a pass that halted a promising Giants drive, allowing Dallas to regain control and ultimately seal the victory. Donovan Ezeiruaku also contributed with a sack, adding to the Cowboys' defensive pressure throughout the contest.
