The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a 35-23 victory over the New Orleans Saints in a critical Week 7 matchup, maintaining their momentum in the competitive 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the Steelers proved their mettle on the road against a formidable opponent. Tyler Shough had a standout performance for the Saints, throwing for 355 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball through the air. Despite the loss, he found a reliable target in Jordyn Tyson, who racked up an impressive 156 receiving yards. On the ground, Trey Benson led the Steelers with 66 rushing yards, contributing to a balanced offensive attack that kept the Saints' defense on its heels. The Steelers' defense played a pivotal role in this game, with Payton Wilson leading the way with 12 total tackles. Nick Herbig was a force on the pass rush, recording three sacks that disrupted Shough’s rhythm, while Kerby Joseph's two interceptions were crucial in stifling any momentum the Saints tried to build. The turning point came late in the third quarter, when Joseph's second interception set up a touchdown that extended Pittsburgh's lead and proved too much for New Orleans to overcome.
