In a thrilling season opener, the Green Bay Packers outlasted the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 63-49. The stakes were high as both teams sought to establish dominance early in the 2026 season, but it was the Packers who emerged victorious in this high-scoring affair. Jordan Love was the standout performer for Green Bay, throwing for an impressive 452 yards and an astounding eight touchdown passes. His connection with Christian Watson proved lethal, as Watson racked up 327 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make big plays. On the ground, Aaron Jones Sr. kept the Vikings competitive with 135 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Packers' aerial assault. Defensively, the Packers made their mark with Devonte Wyatt leading the charge, recording three sacks that disrupted the Vikings' game plan at critical moments. Zaire Franklin also contributed with an interception, turning the tide in Green Bay's favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Love tossed three consecutive touchdown passes, giving the Packers a lead they would not relinquish, ultimately sealing their victory.
