In a high-octane showdown, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Indianapolis Colts 42-27 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. The victory keeps Dallas firmly in the playoff hunt, while the Colts struggle to gain ground in the competitive AFC South. Dak Prescott was the star of the night for the Cowboys, throwing for four touchdown passes and leading the offense with precision. George Pickens was his top target, racking up 92 receiving yards, while Jaydon Blue contributed on the ground with 56 rushing yards. Daniel Jones of the Colts matched Prescott's intensity, throwing for 334 yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the explosive Cowboys offense. Defensively, the Cowboys made crucial plays that swung momentum in their favor. Jalen Thompson led the team with four total tackles, while Quinnen Williams added significant pressure with two sacks, disrupting the Colts' rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when Dallas capitalized on a critical turnover, setting the stage for a commanding lead that Indianapolis could never recover from.
