In a decisive matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Kansas City Chiefs 27-15, solidifying their early-season momentum in Week 2 of the 2027 season. The victory not only boosts the Chargers' confidence but also places them firmly in the conversation as contenders in the AFC. Justin Herbert was the star of the show, throwing for 274 yards and three touchdowns while adding 62 rushing yards to his impressive performance. Ladd McConkey emerged as his primary target, racking up 154 receiving yards and making crucial catches to keep the Chargers' offense clicking throughout the game. Defensively, the Chargers managed to hold off the Chiefs effectively, capitalizing on their offensive success. Despite Chris Jones' standout performance for Kansas City, contributing five tackles and four sacks, the Chiefs struggled to find their rhythm, particularly during a pivotal stretch in the second quarter when the Chargers scored two quick touchdowns, creating an insurmountable lead that the Chiefs could not overcome.
