The Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Tennessee Titans 33-23 in a tightly contested Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, this win gives the Jaguars a crucial edge in their quest for playoff positioning. Trevor Lawrence delivered a standout performance, throwing for 302 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense. Cooper Barkate was his favorite target, racking up an impressive 202 receiving yards, consistently finding ways to create separation and make big plays. On the ground, Nick Singleton led the Titans with 86 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Jacksonville's aerial assault. Defensively, the Jaguars made key stops at crucial moments, highlighted by Marshon Lattimore's six tackles and Antonio Johnson's interception, which shifted the momentum in the second half. The game’s turning point came when Johnson picked off a pass, allowing Jacksonville to capitalize and extend their lead, ultimately sealing the victory. Despite Jeffery Simmons' dominant effort for the Titans, recording 3.5 sacks, it wasn't sufficient to overcome the Jaguars' offensive firepower.
