In a high-octane matchup, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 49-31 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The game was crucial for both teams as they look to establish momentum early in the season, with the Patriots emerging as a formidable force in the AFC. Drake Maye was the standout performer for New England, throwing for 296 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. TreVeyon Henderson complemented Maye's performance with a dominant rushing display, racking up 177 yards on the ground. Although Brian Thomas Jr. put up a stellar effort for the Jaguars with 100 receiving yards, it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the Patriots' explosive attack. Defensively, the Patriots were able to apply consistent pressure, with Craig Woodson leading the team with five total tackles. Despite Jarrian Jones snagging an interception for the Jaguars, the defensive efforts were overshadowed by New England's offensive firepower.
