In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, finishing the game with a score of 28-24. Both teams entered the contest looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle. Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing for an impressive 314 yards and three touchdowns. His connection with Kyle Williams was particularly noteworthy, as Williams racked up 93 receiving yards, making crucial catches that kept the Patriots' offense moving. The combination of Maye's arm and Williams' hands proved to be a difference-maker throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Patriots showcased their prowess with strong performances, highlighted by Marcus Jones, who recorded a team-high eight tackles, and Harold Landry III, who tallied 1.5 sacks. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Landry's pressure led to a critical turnover on downs, allowing New England to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the victory. Despite two interceptions from Jourdan Lewis of the Jaguars, Jacksonville couldn't capitalize enough on their defensive opportunities to swing the game in their favor.
