The Miami Dolphins secured a convincing 30-17 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 3 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position as a contender. With both teams looking to gain momentum early in the season, this matchup was crucial for playoff positioning as the Dolphins aimed to maintain their winning streak. Malik Willis excelled under center for Miami, throwing for 223 yards and a touchdown, while Ollie Gordon II provided a powerful ground game with 111 rushing yards. The combination of Willis's passing and Gordon's running created a balanced offensive attack that kept the Texans on their heels throughout the game. Jayden Higgins shined for Houston with 91 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Dolphins’ offensive prowess. Defensively, Chop Robinson was a game-changer for Miami, recording three sacks that disrupted Houston's rhythm and put pressure on their quarterback. The turning point came in the second half when Robinson's relentless pursuit led to a critical turnover, allowing the Dolphins to extend their lead and ultimately seal the game. With a solid defensive effort and timely plays, Miami showcased their ability to complement their explosive offense.
