The New England Patriots topped the Chicago Bears 31-21 in a Week 7 showdown that showcased both teams' playoff aspirations. With this victory, the Patriots continue to solidify their position in the playoff race, while the Bears face increasing pressure to turn their season around. Quarterback Drake Maye was the star of the day for New England, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team to a crucial win. TreVeyon Henderson contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 85 rushing yards, while Chicago's Chris Olave shined in the receiving game, posting 113 yards. On the defensive side, the Bears' Trey Hendrickson dominated with 2.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on Maye. However, Chicago's inability to capitalize on key defensive stops ultimately proved costly, as the Patriots took control in the second half. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Maye connected on a touchdown pass that shifted momentum firmly in New England's favor.
