In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos 28-24, securing their second win of the season. With playoff aspirations on the line early in the year, both teams showcased their offensive firepower, but it was the Chiefs who emerged victorious in this divisional clash. Patrick Mahomes led the charge for Kansas City, throwing for 265 yards and three touchdowns, highlighting his elite playmaking ability. Meanwhile, Mario Craver was a standout in the receiving game, racking up 125 yards and providing key catches to keep drives alive. On the ground, J.K. Dobbins impressed for Denver, rushing for 112 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Chiefs' potent offense. The Kansas City defense made crucial plays at pivotal moments, with Eli Bowen leading the team with ten total tackles and Jadon Canady snagging an interception that proved critical. The game turned in the fourth quarter when Canady's pick halted a promising Broncos drive, allowing the Chiefs to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the victory.
