The Carolina Panthers dominated the Washington Commanders with a decisive 44-6 victory in Week 3 of the 2027 season. With this win, the Panthers improve their record and establish themselves as a formidable force early in the season, while the Commanders continue to struggle to find their footing. Drew Allar led the offensive charge for the Panthers, throwing for 285 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to connect with receivers downfield. Ashton Jeanty was a key contributor on the ground, rushing for 90 yards, while Tetairoa McMillan mirrored that success in the air with 90 receiving yards. This offensive performance was crucial in building an insurmountable lead. Defensively, the Panthers were disruptive, with Lee Hunter contributing half a sack, and while he was the only player to register a sack, the overall pressure helped stifle the Commanders’ offense. The game’s turning point came early when the Panthers scored back-to-back touchdowns, quickly shifting the momentum and leaving Washington unable to recover. With a relentless defensive effort and a balanced attack, Carolina's performance was a statement of intent for the rest of the league.
