In a thrilling Week 4 matchup of the 2027 season, the New Orleans Saints outlasted the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 31-24. The victory keeps the Saints in the playoff hunt, demonstrating their offensive prowess against a competitive Jaguars squad. Leading the charge for New Orleans was quarterback Devon Dampier, who threw for an impressive 449 yards, showcasing a strong aerial attack. Jeremiah Smith was his primary target, racking up 293 receiving yards and proving to be a game-changer in critical moments. Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars also had a standout performance, tossing three touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Jaguars struggled to contain the explosive Saints offense, despite Foyesade Oluokun leading the team with nine total tackles. The game’s turning point came when the Saints managed to halt a potential game-tying drive late in the fourth quarter, forcing a turnover on downs that sealed the win. The defensive efforts of Josh Hines-Allen, who recorded 1.5 sacks, provided some pressure, but it ultimately wasn’t sufficient to shift the momentum back in Jacksonville's favor.
