In a tightly contested matchup, the Denver Broncos held off the Kansas City Chiefs with a final score of 24-16, solidifying their position in the playoff race as they enter the second half of the season. This victory not only boosts the Broncos' confidence but also serves as a critical statement against a divisional rival. Bo Nix was the standout performer for Denver, throwing for 288 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. Courtland Sutton was a key target, racking up 100 receiving yards and proving to be a reliable option in critical moments. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker led the ground game for Kansas City with 58 rushing yards, but the Chiefs struggled to find the end zone consistently. Defensively, the Broncos made their mark with Riley Moss leading the charge with nine total tackles and Talanoa Hufanga contributing with a crucial interception. The turning point in the game came in the third quarter when Hufanga's interception halted a Chiefs drive, allowing the Broncos to extend their lead and shift the momentum firmly in their favor. George Karlaftis of the Chiefs did manage to record a sack, but it wasn't enough to overcome the consistent pressure that Denver exerted throughout the game.
