In a commanding performance, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Detroit Lions 38-10 in Week 9 of the 2027 season. With playoff aspirations on the line, the Raiders showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, leaving the Lions struggling to keep pace throughout the contest. Offensively, the Raiders were led by Mike Washington Jr., who had a stunning 254 rushing yards, proving to be an unstoppable force in the backfield. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza contributed significantly with one touchdown pass, while the Lions' Darian Mensah managed to accumulate 206 passing yards but could not find the end zone. Jameson Williams was a bright spot for Detroit with 128 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Raiders made their mark with Nakobe Dean leading the way with five total tackles, while Maxx Crosby added a sack to pressure the Lions' offense. The game-changing moment came when Daxton Hill intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive for Detroit and solidifying the Raiders' control of the game. With a strong defensive effort complementing their explosive offense, Las Vegas cruised to a decisive victory.
