In a closely contested matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the New England Patriots 28-25 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The victory was crucial for the Jaguars as they look to establish themselves in the playoff picture early in the year. Drake Maye shone for the Patriots, throwing for 334 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his targets downfield. A.J. Brown was a standout receiver, racking up 125 yards, providing a reliable option for Maye throughout the game. Despite the strong offensive performance from New England, the Jaguars managed to keep pace and ultimately secure the win. Defensively, the game turned in the Jaguars' favor during a critical moment late in the fourth quarter when they managed to force a turnover. While the Patriots' defense had some bright spots, including a solid performance from Robert Spillane with seven total tackles, they couldn't contain the Jaguars' offense when it mattered most. The late-game resilience from Jacksonville's defense proved to be the difference-maker, sealing the victory at home.
