The XP goes straight back to the team's balance, and the bot posts a notice in Discord — in the channel the request landed in — with the reason you gave. The request itself stays on the Pending Upgrades tab: set the Status filter to All and it shows with a red Turned down label. There is no separate list just for turned-down upgrades — All is where you find them.

Where turning down happens

On the website: open your league in the sidebar and click XP, then the Pending Upgrades tab. Every Open row has a Turn down button.

In the app: tap More, open XP under your league, then pick Pending Upgrades from the Choose a section dropdown.

How it works

  1. Click Turn down on an open upgrade.
  2. A box asks Why? (optional). Write a sentence the team can read — it is posted in Discord with the refund. Left blank, the notice says no reason was provided.
  3. Click Turn it down. The XP is refunded to the team's balance in the same moment, and any request limits it used up are released. Nothing is left for you to hand back.

Worth knowing

  • The refund goes to the team's balance, not to the person who asked. If the team changed hands in between, that is where it went.
  • A turned-down upgrade keeps its row. Under the All filter it wears a red Turned down label and has no buttons — there is nothing left to decide. The Open and Completed filters leave it out, and the tiles above the list do not count it.
  • There is no undo. If you turned one down by mistake, the team asks for it again and it arrives as a fresh open request. If they need XP moved by hand first, the Give Or Take XP card on the XP Hub's Overview tab does that.
  • Once an upgrade is approved or turned down, the other decision is refused — if you see "already finalized", someone got there first.
