How do I give one team its own limits?
You can give one team a different limit from everyone else — a team on thin ice for trade spam, or a team you trust with a longer leash. The editor is called Team Limits, and you reach it through the XP Hub.
Where to find it
- Open the sidebar → XP → Earning tab. On a phone, pick Earning from the Choose a section dropdown.
- Open the One Team At A Time drawer.
- Press Per-Team Limits.
The rule to understand first
A team's own limit wins over the league-wide one. If a team has no limit of its own for a feature, the league-wide one applies — or no limit at all, if the league does not have one either. The page says exactly this at the top.
The two are never mixed or added together, so whatever you want that team to be under, set all of it on their row — including the Madden-week and Madden-season boxes if the league-wide cap uses those.
Step by step
- Open Per-Team Limits as above.
- Pick a team from the grid. Each tile tells you whether that team already has custom limits or Uses league settings.
- Find the feature you want to change. Each one is a card, with a pill showing Custom, League setting, or No limit — and a line showing what the league setting is right now.
- Flick On/Off on for that card, then set the numbers: Most uses, the hours they count over, who it counts against, and whether going over blocks the action or only warns. There are optional boxes for a per-Madden-week and a per-Madden-season limit too.
- Press Save on that card. Each card saves on its own.
Putting a team back to normal
Every card has a Use league setting button. Pressing it removes just that one custom limit for just that one team — everything else you set for them stays.
When a card has no custom limit, the button reads Using league setting and cannot be pressed. That is how you tell at a glance which cards you have changed.
Common problems
- My team isn't in the picker. Only teams with a Discord role set up on your server appear. Set them up under Teams → Team Roles first and the team shows up here.
- My change didn't take effect. Each card saves separately. Check you pressed Save on the card you edited, not a neighbouring one.
- The team is still being blocked at the old number. Check the card's On/Off switch. Numbers filled in with the switch off are not a custom limit.
- I gave a team a looser weekly limit and they're still capped by the season total. Fill in the team's own season box too — a custom limit stands alone, so set everything you want that team to be under.
- I want to undo everything for one team. Press Use league setting on each card you changed. There is no single button that clears a whole team.
