In a tightly contested battle, the Boise Elks topped the Dallas Silverbacks 21-14 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Elks secured a crucial victory that solidified their position in the postseason race. Boise's offensive performance was highlighted by a dominant showing from running back James Cook III, who racked up 141 rushing yards and contributed significantly to the Elks' ground game. Dallas quarterback Bo Nix led the passing attack with 288 yards and a touchdown, connecting with star receiver Drake London for 109 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Boise's offensive onslaught. Defensively, Boise’s Xavier Watts made his presence felt with a game-high eight total tackles, helping to stifle the Silverbacks' offense at key moments. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Elks' defense halted a critical drive, forcing a turnover on downs and allowing Boise to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the victory.
