In a hard-fought battle in Week 3 of the 2027 season, the Boston Colonials narrowly defeated the Nashville Nightmares by a score of 13-6. The game had significant playoff implications, as both teams sought to establish momentum early in the season. Leading the charge for Boston was quarterback Deon Evans, who threw for 181 yards, efficiently managing the offense. Ciante Russell contributed significantly on the ground with 74 rushing yards, while Bryce Lance was the primary target in the passing game, finishing with 61 receiving yards. Together, they orchestrated a balanced offensive attack that ultimately proved vital in securing the win. Despite the loss, the Nightmares' defense put up a strong effort, highlighted by Tykee Smith's eight total tackles and DJ Johnson's two sacks, which kept the pressure on Evans throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Derwin James Jr. intercepted a crucial pass, sealing the victory for the Colonials and thwarting any chance of a Nashville comeback.
