In a decisive Week 3 matchup, the Blacksburg Vipers defeated the Seattle Scouts 31-14, solidifying their position early in the 2027 season. This victory not only boosts the Vipers’ confidence but also puts them on the radar as a team to watch moving forward. The Vipers’ offense was spearheaded by a dominant performance from Jeremiyah Love, who rushed for an impressive 186 yards, showcasing his ability to break tackles and find holes in the defense. Quarterback Dak Prescott contributed with 85 passing yards, while Elic Ayomanor of the Scouts managed to throw for one touchdown, but it was clear that the Vipers' ground game was the difference-maker in this contest. Defensively, the Vipers controlled the pace of the game, highlighted by Josiah Trotter's two pivotal interceptions that stifled any momentum the Scouts attempted to build. Jahdae Barron added to the pressure with a sack, disrupting Seattle's offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Trotter's first interception led to a quick touchdown for Blacksburg, swinging the momentum firmly in their favor.
