In a thrilling Week 6 matchup, the Oklahoma City Hornets narrowly defeated the Tucson Scorpions with a final score of 31-28. This victory not only boosts the Hornets' confidence but also keeps them in the playoff hunt as the 2027 season heats up. Tyrique Bartow was the standout performer for Oklahoma City, throwing for 223 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. On the ground, Bijan Robinson made a significant impact for Tucson, racking up 142 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to secure the win for his team. Defensively, the Hornets stepped up at crucial moments, with Craig Woodson leading the team in tackles, recording four on the night. A key turning point in the game came when Trenton Simpson secured an interception, stifling a Scorpions drive and helping Oklahoma City maintain their slim lead late in the fourth quarter. B.J. Maynard of Tucson added a sack to his tally, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum in favor of the Scorpions as they fell just short.
