In a tightly contested matchup, the Oklahoma City Hornets narrowly defeated the Harrisburg Willows 17-14 in Week 7 of the 2027 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams came into the game looking to solidify their standing, making the stakes even higher for this must-win scenario. Offensively, it was Deon Valentine who shined for the Hornets, racking up 127 rushing yards and proving to be a key contributor in the ground game. For the Willows, Isaiah Compton led the charge with 190 passing yards and a touchdown, while Ashton Jeanty added 82 receiving yards, showcasing their aerial attack throughout the game. Defensively, the Willows struggled to contain Valentine, which ultimately played a significant role in the outcome. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Hornets' defense held strong, forcing a critical turnover that allowed them to maintain their slim lead. Despite Micah McFadden's four tackles and Nick Herbig's sack for the Willows, it wasn't enough to overcome the Hornets' late-game resilience.
