In a tightly contested matchup, the Seattle Scouts narrowly defeated the Charleston Marauders 17-14 in Week 8 of the 2026 season. With both teams fighting for playoff positioning, the stakes were high, but it was Seattle that ultimately emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience in a crucial moment of the season. Lamar Jackson led the Scouts with a key touchdown pass and managed the game efficiently, while Derrick Henry dominated on the ground with 103 rushing yards, consistently moving the chains. Elic Ayomanor also contributed significantly with 61 receiving yards, providing Jackson with a reliable target throughout the game. Defensively, D'Angelo Ponds played a pivotal role for Seattle, racking up 8 total tackles and helping to stifle Charleston's offensive efforts. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Seattle's defense stepped up, shutting down a promising Marauders drive and preserving the slim lead. Rueben Bain Jr. of Charleston made his presence felt with 1.5 sacks, but it wasn't enough to sway the outcome in favor of the Marauders.
