In a tightly contested matchup, the Houston Comets emerged victorious over the Sacramento Banditz with a final score of 25-17. This Week 7 clash was crucial for both teams as they jockeyed for playoff positioning in the 2026 season. The Comets' ability to execute under pressure proved pivotal in securing the win. Offensively, Saquon Barkley was the standout performer for Houston, racking up an impressive 156 rushing yards that kept the Banditz defense on its heels. Quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr contributed effectively, throwing for one touchdown while managing the game with precision. On the other side, Justin Herbert struggled to find his rhythm, finishing with just 118 passing yards, but Dont'e Thornton Jr. did his best to keep the Banditz in the game with 81 receiving yards. Defensively, the Comets made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Kelee Ringo's interception was a turning point, halting a potential scoring drive from Sacramento and allowing Houston to capitalize on the opportunity. Despite Trevin Wallace's strong four-tackle performance and Aidan Hutchinson's sack for the Banditz, it was the Comets' timely defensive stand that ultimately sealed their victory.
