In a tightly contested matchup, the Sacramento Banditz narrowly defeated the Honolulu Riptides, 28-21, in Week 9 of the 2027 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, this victory was crucial for the Banditz as they continue their push for a postseason berth. Elijah Harris led the charge for Sacramento through the air, throwing for 177 yards, while Joe Burrow kept Honolulu competitive with two touchdown passes. On the ground, Lance Choice was a force, racking up 127 rushing yards and finding the end zone to solidify the Banditz's offensive dominance. Dont'e Thornton Jr. also had a strong showing, contributing 75 receiving yards to the mix. Defensively, the Banditz made key plays that helped secure the win. Kaleb Elarms-Orr led the defense with three total tackles, but it was Dominique Hampton's timely interception that proved pivotal.
