In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Las Vegas Lotus topped the Baton Rouge Flamingos with a final score of 35-18, solidifying their position in the standings. This victory not only boosts the Lotus' confidence but also places them firmly in contention as the season progresses. Las Vegas quarterback Fernando Mendoza led the charge with a stellar performance, racking up 283 passing yards and throwing three touchdown passes. His connection with wide receiver Cooper Kupp was particularly effective, as Kupp amassed 106 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target throughout the game. Running back Cam Skattebo contributed significantly on the ground, adding 71 rushing yards to the team's offensive output. Defensively, the Lotus were in control, with Jack Campbell leading the way with nine total tackles and an interception that shifted the momentum in favor of Las Vegas. The turning point came when Campbell's interception halted a promising drive from Baton Rouge, allowing the Lotus to extend their lead and ultimately secure the victory. Kingsley Enagbare's lone sack for Baton Rouge served as a reminder of their potential but was not enough to overcome the Lotus' dominant performance.
