In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Billings Lumberjacks topped the Toronto BlueJays with a final score of 27-13. With both teams vying for a critical win to enhance their playoff positioning, the Lumberjacks' offense proved too much for the BlueJays to handle. Collin Caldwell led the charge for Billings, throwing for a touchdown while Tank Bigsby contributed on the ground with 70 rushing yards. On the other side, Baker Mayfield of the BlueJays showcased his skills with 244 passing yards, connecting frequently with CeeDee Lamb, who recorded 79 receiving yards. However, the BlueJays' efforts were not enough to overcome the Lumberjacks' balanced offensive attack. Defensively, the Lumberjacks made their presence felt, with Jaycee Horn coming through with two crucial interceptions that shifted momentum in their favor. Jermaine Johnson II added to the pressure on the BlueJays' offense with a sack, while Jalen Thomas led the tackling efforts for Toronto with eight total tackles. The turning point of the game came when Horn's second interception set up a touchdown drive, allowing Billings to pull away and secure the victory.
