In a tightly contested matchup, the Louisville Kings held off the Salt Lake Paladins with a final score of 20-13, solidifying their position as a formidable contender in Week 5 of the 2026 season. Both teams were eager to secure a pivotal victory, but it was the Kings who emerged victorious in this crucial conference clash. Tj Richardson was the standout performer for Louisville, throwing for an impressive 317 yards and tossing two touchdown passes, providing a spark that propelled his team to victory. Jaylen Warren also contributed significantly on the ground, adding 84 rushing yards that kept the Paladins' defense on its heels. Meanwhile, Salt Lake's Michael Pittman put on a stellar performance with 179 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to clinch the win for his team. Defensively, the Paladins were anchored by Genesis Smith, who recorded a total of eight tackles, and Myles Murphy, who added 1.5 sacks to his game stats. However, the turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Kings' defense managed to stifle a potential game-tying drive from Salt Lake, forcing a turnover on downs that allowed Louisville to run out the clock and secure their hard-fought victory.
