In a dominant opening performance for the 2026 season, the Austin Gunslingers secured a convincing 38-0 victory over the Baltimore Bolts. This game served as a statement for the Gunslingers, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess right out of the gate. Leading the charge for Austin was quarterback Matthew Stafford, who threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns, providing a steady presence behind center. Wide receiver Keenan Allen was his top target, racking up 98 receiving yards, while the ground game was effectively managed, contributing to the overall offensive dominance. The Gunslingers' ability to spread the ball around kept the Bolts' defense on its heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Gunslingers were relentless, with Blake Cashman making significant impacts, including an interception that shifted the momentum early in the game. Though he recorded only half a sack, his presence was felt all over the field, helping to stifle Baltimore's offensive efforts. The turning point came when Cashman’s interception led to a quick touchdown, putting the Gunslingers firmly in control and leaving the Bolts unable to recover.
