In a strong start to the 2026 season, the Anchorage Frost defeated the Nashville Nightmares with a final score of 27-12. This victory sets the tone for Anchorage as they look to build momentum in the early weeks of the franchise, while the Nightmares will need to regroup after a tough opener. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer for Anchorage, throwing for 306 yards and two touchdowns. He connected frequently with Rome Odunze, who recorded 137 receiving yards, showcasing the duo's chemistry and ability to move the chains. Jahmyr Gibbs led the ground game for Nashville with 126 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Frost's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Nightmares struggled to contain the Frost's attack, allowing key drives that shifted the momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Lawrence hit Odunze for a touchdown, pushing the Frost's lead to two scores. Despite strong individual efforts from Nashville's Tykee Smith, who led with four tackles, and Khalil Mack, who notched a sack, the Frost's offense proved too potent to overcome.
