In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the Charleston Marauders topped the Tucson Scorpions 27-12, solidifying their place in the postseason. With playoff implications on the line, Charleston demonstrated their dominance on both sides of the ball, ensuring a strong finish to the regular season. Jalen Milroe led the Scorpions' passing attack, racking up 257 yards and throwing for one touchdown, while Puka Nacua emerged as a standout receiver with 133 yards. However, the Marauders found success on the ground with Saquon Barkley contributing 63 rushing yards, complementing their balanced offensive strategy that ultimately overwhelmed the Scorpions. Defensively, the Marauders were effective in limiting Tucson's scoring opportunities, with Charvarius Ward Sr. snagging an interception that proved crucial in the game's momentum shift. As the Marauders built a lead, the Scorpions struggled to respond, and Tyrique Stevenson’s six tackles highlighted a valiant but insufficient effort to halt Charleston’s offensive surge. The turning point came when the Marauders capitalized on a turnover, extending their lead and putting the game out of reach for Tucson.
