In a decisive Wildcard Round matchup, the Blacksburg Vipers topped the Bar Harbor Sailors 42-23, securing their spot in the next phase of the playoffs. With both teams vying to keep their championship hopes alive, the Vipers showcased their offensive prowess and tactical execution. Leading the charge for Blacksburg was quarterback Dak Prescott, who threw for 284 yards and four touchdowns, effectively dismantling the Sailors' defense. His favorite target, Jeremiyah Love, racked up 91 receiving yards, adding to the Vipers' offensive onslaught. Although Tyler Allgeier provided a strong ground game for Bar Harbor with 94 rushing yards, it wasn't enough to keep pace with Blacksburg's high-scoring attack. Defensively, the Vipers, led by Malaki Starks with five total tackles, managed to contain Bar Harbor's offense when it mattered most. The turning point came in the second quarter when Blacksburg's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing Prescott and the offense to capitalize and extend their lead. Despite a valiant effort from the Sailors, including a sack from Frankie Luvu and an interception by Antonio Johnson, they couldn't overcome the Vipers' relentless offensive surge.
